Hulu is set to have an exciting month in terms of it’s newly curated library. With releases from Tony McNamara’s The Favourite that’s about Russian ruler Catherine the Great starring Elle Fanning. Co-creator of Rick and Morty, Justin Roiland, and Mike McMahan have created a new absurd Hulu Original called Solar Opposites. The show follows a family of aliens who move to Earth and learn to live amongst humans. Hulu’s Golden Globe-winning original, Ramy, will release season 2 this month. Homecoming released back in November 2018, the thriller-mystery was led by Julia Roberts who managed daily operations of the Homecoming program created by a wellness company. Amazon’s latest installment to its thriller series is set to release later this month. Although Julia Roberts won’t be returning, Janelle Monáe is taking over as the main character. The new season will follow a woman who wakes up in a boat without any memory of how she got there or who she is, leading her to a strange wellness company that’s connected to the Homecoming Initiative.

This month Netflix has lined up a lot of highly anticipated shows and movies. The Politician creator Ryan Murphy has a new limited series set to release this month with Hollywood, set in post World War 2 during the Golden Age of film in the United States. Another show to keep an eye out for is La La Land director Damien Chazelle’s new show The Eddy, about a Parisian jazz club starring André Holland.

The Lighthouse is more of a hipster-cult style film than a modern horror film being produced by Hollywood. With its early sound era aspect ratio style of 1.19.1 and black and white film, the production wants to make sure the audience is aware the movie is about style as much as an homage to earlier classic style horror films. Available April 16th.
