Tegan and Sara: Hey, I’m Just Like You 

Featuring an all-women production, from engineering to mastering, Tegan and Sara’s latest album is composed of lyrics written by the duo from when they were ages 15 and 17.

DaBaby: KIRK

DaBaby has kept busy this year. Releasing his second project of 2019, KIRK, which is named after DaBaby’s legal last name, continues the Charlotte rapper’s energetic and forward motion music style.

Sturgill Simpson: SOUND & FURY 

Sound & Fury, is Sturgill Simpson’s fourth album, which also serves as a counterpart to Netflix’s anime film under the same name. The project is made in collaboration with manga artist Takashi Okazaki along with filmmaker Junpei Mizusaki.

The New Pornographers: In the Morse Code of Brake Lights

For a band that has been losing and replacing band members, Vancouver based The New Pornographers, sound like they have found a working formula. In the Morse Code of Brake Lights, is slowly creeping on my repeat icon.

Girl Band: The Talkies

Having remained quiet for almost a half a decade, Irish punk quartet, have released their latest project, The Talkies. Known for pioneering Irish alternative music, Girl Band’s latest album furthers their trailblazing.

Guillermo Klein: Los Guachos Cristal

Sheff G: The Unluccy Luccy Kid 

The Unluccy Luccy Kid, is 20-year-old Brooklyn rapper Sheff G’s debut mixtape.

Laurie Anderson: Songs From the Bardo

Emel Mathlouthi: Everywhere We Looked Was Burning

Emil Mathlouthi’s third LP, Everywhere We Looked Was Burning, was started in Woodstock, New York, where she rented a house to “write about nature as well as the beauty and struggle of these times.” The album was recorded in the Catskill Mountains, London, and France. It was co-produced by Steve Moore and Ryan Seaton, and was mixed by Chris Tabron and Marta Salogni.
